Rammenas English
Rammenas is a flash fiction blog for:
those who love reading,
those who love writing,
writers who like to read and
readers who like to write,
Flash fiction is a short story genre. The ideal flash fiction story is a complete story, with characters, atmosphere and a plot. This way it distinguishes itself from an anecdote.
Part of the aim of Rammenas is to provide a public forum for writers to show their work and invite reactions from readers. All stories and comments are welcome and we want the blog to be as free and open as possible. One or two points do need to be made, though. First, time constraints prevent us giving feedback on submissions or entering into dialogues about why any particular one did or didn’t get posted. Reading is, of course, a subjective experience and the stories we choose to publish are here because they appealed to us. That’s no reflection on those which don’t make the cut. No claims are being made that those which do appear are ‘the best’; they’re simply the ones that suit our taste in reading. The others might well get published on other sites and we’d encourage writers to try as many outlets as possible.
On the other hand, we realise the importance of feedback and so we hope that readers will comment as freely as they like about the stories which do appear (but without insults, gratuitous negativity or personal abuse). Writers who welcome such interaction with readers might like to put an email address on their profile so that they can be contacted directly.
